The story of a young winemaking company M.A.N. began with the simple desire of three friends to create a wine that they would like to buy by themselves. In their opinion, this wine should have excellent quality, reasonable price and attractive design. Having received the sufficient motivation for action, José Conde and the brothers Tyrrel and Philip Myburgh created the company M.A.N., named on behalf of their wives - Marie, Anette and Nicky.

The company was opened in 2001 in a former tractor shed equipped for a winery. Then, only 300 cases of wine were made from grapes bought from farmers. Nowadays, the volume of production has grown to 175 thousand cases per year; the bottles of wine are exported to 25 countries. At the same time, as before, 95% of the grapes are bought from 30 farms located in the Agter-Paarl region, which are shareholders of M.A.N. Almost 80% of vineyards are unirrigated and have low yields. Local soils contain a large amount of slate and granite rocks, so the grapes grown here produce the concentrated and very aromatic wines.
